Natalie arrives at a labyrinthine country house where Paul, Natalie's ex-husband, lives with his terminally ill father. Paul tells Natalie that his father has a month to live. Natalie persuades Paul to commit euthanasia on his father. Paul discovers that his father has faked his own suicide with a plastic gun and stage blood.

It becomes evident that at some point in the past, Natalie has had an affair with her father-in-law, whilst Paul was serving a prison sentence for corporate fraud. We see Paul's father shot dead in his bed. Throughout the film, Paul, his father and Natalie appear in an episodic trilogy of fictional car commercials. Natalie visits the country house, and the cycle begins once more.
